6.5x55 Swede
The 6.5x55 Swedish (6.5x55 Swedish Mauser, 6.5x55 Swede, Swede Mauser) was introduced in the Mauser 96 and was the official military cartridge of Sweden and Norway even before the US adopted the 30-06 Govt. Popular in Europe as both a hunting and target cartridge the round has seen resurgence in the US as a moderately recoiling, accurate and versatile hunting and target round. With 6.5 mm bullets which are now popular in target shooting the 6.5x55 offers excellent ballistics for its size and is a great round for vintage military sniping competition and hunting.
