Description

This version of the Accuracy International AXMC is a .338 Lapua Magnum with a 20" threaded barrel with muzzle brake and features a green stock.

The AX Short Action and AXMC (AX Multi Calibre) advanced technology weapon system provides military, law enforcement and civilian shooters the latest in Accuracy International battle-proven features: accuracy, reliability, ruggedness and unrelenting quality. The AX is a user configurable, mission adaptable, long range sniper system.

As of April 15th, 2016, Accuracy International has announced that a left-handed version of the AXMC and AX Short Action rifle will be produced.

The Accuracy International AX rifle is the flagship multi-caliber rifle in the AI line. As such, you can expect superiority in features, including:

  • Full-length NATO STANAG 4694/Mil Std 1913 rail for accessories, optics, night vision equipment, and more. Aerospace-grade aluminum with corrosion-resistant protective coating. Rail is inclined 20MOA for .308 Win and 30MOA for magnum calibers.
  • While the top foreend rail is full-length (and matched to the angle of the action rail), the foreend of the AX is an octagonal tube featuring AI's patented KeySlot mounting system. This foreend is easily removed with the 4mm hex wrench stored in the cheekpiece.
  • QD flush cup sling attachments are located on the main chassis and removable/repositionable attachment points are located on rail sections attached to foreend.
  • QuickLoc barrel release system allows for barrel removal and refit in under one minute using only the 4mm hex wrench included in cheekpiece.
  • Chassis folding stock reduces overall rifle length by 260mm (~10").
  • Cheekpiece is configurable for lateral and height adjustments, and also stores a 4mm hex wrench for rifle disassembly.
  • Butt pad features a friction-locking mechanism for easy, tool-less height and angle adjustment. Rifle length of pull can be adjusted by 40mm without tools or accessories, and even more with the addition of optional 10mm or 20mm spacers (not included)
  • Pistol grip is replaceable in minutes and can utilize different backstraps.
  • 3-position safety is based on the design of the Accuracy International Arctic Warfare (AW) battle-proven system.
  • Two-stage trigger with adjustable shoe
  • Includes 10-round low-friction magazine

The "anonymous" poster that gave you a 1 star review is an incompetent idiot. The fact that he owns a firearm at all is rather frightening. Who takes nearly 2 years to do load development? My guess is, he is an antifa member stuck in his moms basement and is jealous that he can not afford such a fine rifle. You guys buy with confidence, this I can guarantee you is a fine rifle!

The review above should be flushed in the toilet. You don’t build an AI it’s impossible. So the rest is just noise. If it took him 2 years to get it to shoot 1moa and then blames the rifle anyone educated should see through it. I actually own this rifle. Shoots in the .1s at a 100. And easy 5” group at a 1k. That’s shooting 6.5 creed. Shooting 338 lapua would be easy sub moa with factory ammo. This rifle has never been marketed as a rifle for a beginner either. You pay for what you get in a true MC rifle.

Although the 338 Lapua mag is a awesome weapon own one myself built it from ground up but the pay over $8000 For a beginner or even a half way experience shooter you would be a fool you can’t just buy the rifle and pull factory ammo off-the-shelf Add three dollars per round I have hours of testing different loads projectiles primers casings etc. I can on and on it took almost a year and a half to two years before I found the right load combination to reach out to hit a 12 x 12 diamond at 1000 yards So before you spend that kind of moneyon a rifle that they talk so much about do some research because I can bet you straight out-of-the-box you won’t get a 1MOA three shot group at 300 yards build your weapon learn your weapon execute with your weapon
