Dakota Arms Rifles

Don Allen (1941-2003) founded Dakota Arms in 1986 to build some of the finest bolt actions available to shooting and hunting enthusiasts. Along with famed gunsmith Pete Grisel, Allen established a reputation of building beautifully made and functioning rifles that reflected the art of gunmaking. The Dakota Model 76 is a model of innovation, precision and reflects the attention of skilled gunmakers. The rifle action is the culmination of features well established for the pre-64 Model 70, but with the added advantage and reliability of the Mauser 98 style extractor for positive feeding and extraction. It is available in a variety of models and Eurooptic is pleased to handle this fine line of rifles.

Dakota Rifle Models:

Dakota 76: The Dakota 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate, and on every type of game. We offer Dakota 76 rifles in Alpine, Classic, Safari and African grades, with Dakota Traveler versions.

Dakota 97: A less costly Dakota bolt action rifle is the Dakota 97. It sports a Mauser type claw extractor that facilitates controlled round feed, but unlike the larger Dakota 76, the Dakota 97 receiver has a round bottom that is easier to manufacture. Offered in stainless steel and a synthetic stock, the Dakota 97 makes a reliable, weather proof light weight mountain rifle.

Dakota Predator: The Dakota Predator incorporates a Nesika Bay action similar to those that dominate benchrest competition. This rigid, bolt action single shot action is typically a one hole shooter ideal for varmint and predator hunting. The Dakota Predator is available in AAA claro walnut or a composite stock with a choice of barrel contours and calibers from .204 Ruger.
