One of the biggest advantages that Desert Tech rifles have over almost all other tactical rifles on the market is their incredible modularity. All Desert Tech rifles can be converted to a different caliber, but the number of options can vary between each model of rifle. Better yet changing the caliber and/or barrel length of a rifle can be complete in under 1 minute. .308 Winchester with a 16” barrel to a .338 Lapua Magnum with 26” barrel in under 1 minute—incredible. Desert Tech Conversion Kits consist of three parts, the barrel, the bolt, and the magazine.

Conversion Kits for the SRS-A1

The SRS-A1 has the widest selection of dedicated conversion kits ranging from the soft shooting .260 Remington all the way to the mighty .338 Lapua Magnum. A Desert Tech SRS-A1 conversion kit virtually eliminates the need to buy almost any other rifle, whether your intentions are competition shooting, tactical operations, or even hunting—the a Desert Tech SRS-A1 has a nearly endless range of applications.

Conversion Kits for the SRS-A1 Covert

The SRS-A1 Covert rifle is the most versatile of all Desert Tech rifle offerings and is the most compact bolt action rifle in their lineup. The SRS-A1 Covert has three dedicated conversion kits for both left and right handed shooters. A .308 Winchester with 16” barrel, a .300 Winchester Magnum with 18” barrel and a .338 Lapua Magnum with 18” barrel. However the Covert is not just limited to these conversion kits, the Covert is also compatible with the conversion kits for the SRS-A1 standard model.

Conversion Kits for the HTI

Rarely do you ever see a .50 BMG that can be converted to something else, and for most .50 BMG owners that’s just how it is. Not Desert Tech HTI owners though, the HTI has 4 caliber choices for conversion kits currently available: .375 CheyTac, .408 CheyTac, .416 Barrett, and .50 BMG. Conversion Kits for the HTI allow you to go from an ELR rifle to an anti-material rifle within minutes.

Conversion Kits for the MDR

The MDR currently has 3 chambering options for conversion kits—the .223 Wylde (fully compatible with both .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO), 7.62x51mm NATO (.308), and the .300 BLK for suppressed shooting. Conversions between calibers for the semi-automatic MDR is almost just easy as with its bolt action siblings. It’s just a matter of changing the barrel, bolt face, and magazine.
