Desert Tech SRS & HTI Rifles

Desert Tech SRS & HTI Rifles

Desert Tech rifles are some of the most advanced battlefield ready rifles in the world. Desert Tech rifles are modular, compact, and available in the most battle proven calibers available. Their bullpup design allows them to be considerably shorter than many firearms of the same caliber and barrel length. All Desert Tech rifles can have their calibers changed using conversion kits available for that weapon system. In regards to the SRS Covert model rifles, you could change the rifle from an urban sniper rifle chambered in .308 Winchester to a .338 Lapua Magnum with a 26” barrel capable of extreme long range accuracy in under 1 minute. Desert Tech isn’t over embellishing when they refer to their products as “tomorrow’s weapons”.

Desert Tech currently has a line-up of four weapons systems: the Stealth Recon Scout (SRS-A1), Stealth Recon Scout Covert (SRS-A1 Covert), Hard Target Interdiction (HTI), and the semi-automatic Micro Dynamic Rifle (MDR). Each Desert Tech model rifle fills a specific purpose on modern battlefields as well shooting ranges.

SRS-A1

The SRS-A1 bolt action rifle is the flag ship of Desert Tech’s rifle lineup, available with a 22 or 26 inch barrel, the SRS-A1’s bullpup design allows it to be roughly the same length as a M4 carbine rifle. SRS-A1 rifles from Desert Tech have a 3 shot ½ MOA guarantee. The SRS-A1 is convertible to .308 Win, .260 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5x47 Lapua, 7mm WSM, .300 Win Mag, and .338 Lapua Mag.

SRS-A1 Covert

The SRS-A1 Covert is the more compact version of the SRS-A1, with a 16” .308 Win barrel it is only 27” in overall length. That’s 6 inches shorter than the SRS-A1 and about the length of the HK UMP submachine gun with an 8” barrel. While the Covert has its own conversion kits with 18” barrels for the .300 Win Mag and .338 Lapua Mag, the chassis is also compatible with SRS-A1 conversion kits making the SRS-A1 chassis compatible with all SRS-A1 caliber options and long barrels.

HTI

Desert Tech’s HTI bolt action sniper rifle is a breath of fresh air for operator’s and ELR enthusiasts alike. The HTI continues to use Desert Tech’s bullpup design to not only save inches but pounds as well. The HTI weighs in at roughly 20 lbs and has on overall length of just 45.75” with a 29” barrel, that’s 11 lbs. lighter and almost foot shorter than a Barrett 82A1 .50 caliber rifle. The HTI is convertible to .375 CheyTac, .408 CheyTac, .416 Barrett, and the .50 BMG.

MDR

The MDR is Desert Tech’s entry into the realm of modern sporting and defensive semi-automatic rifles. The rifle is fully ambidextrous, which isn’t just good for lefties but takes further advantage of the bullpup design to make shoulder transitions effortless. MDR rifles are chambered in .223 Wylde (fully compatible with .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO) and .308 Win. MDRs can be converted to .300 BLK as well, but are not produced in that caliber. Its overall length with a 16” barrel is cut down to just 26.2 making it more compact than many SBRs with barrels half as long.
