Description

The ELCAN SpecterDR 1x-4x Dual Role Optical Sight is a revolution in battlefield optics. This is the world’s first dual field of view combat optical sight. The ELCAN Specter DR 1x-4x switches from 4x magnification to 1x CQB with the throw of a lever, while still providing identical eye-relief in both positions. The Specter DR Dual Role gives the user both fast target acquisition and long-range identification that no other combat optic provides.

The ELCAN SpecterDR 1x-4x offers variable sight illumination, meaning the operator can switch between fully illuminated crosshairs or just illuminated red dot. In the event of power loss, the reticles remain fully visible.

The Elcan Dual Role Optical Sight has changed the standard in battlefield optics, all other sights only perform half the job.

I am very pleased with this scope. The optical quality is amazing on both the 1x and 4x setting. The construction seems bombproof. It now sits atop my go to Scar 17s and looks like it was born there. I recommend this unit to anyone with a scar platform. The magnification lever is silky smooth and locks into position. The field of view is HUGE!!! I also own an Acog TA11 which I’ve always had high praise for, but the Elcan is in a different class. The ARMS mount locked solid on my pic rail. I don’t foresee any issues arising with the mount. It is nicely finished with thick, even anodization. The backup sights are sturdy and highly visible. The illumination is daytime bright. It’s just as bright as my Aimpoint T1 and Trijicon MRO. Its nice to have a super fast red dot and lit reticle. I’ve heard others complain about the weight, but I hardly feel it at all on the Scar. The rifle still balances at the front of the magwell. The eye relief is generous and the exit pupil on 4x is gigantic. The eye relief reminds me of the TA11, it’s far superior to the 4x acogs. I highly recommend this scope due to its size, image quality, usability, and toughness. I would also like to give Eurooptics a 5 star rating. They have been great to do business with. It’s nice to order from a highly reputable company that you can count on, especially when ordering high priced optics. I have no hesitation recommending both this optic and Eurooptics.
