It shot everything I gave it with no problems and 4 different brands of magazines. The plastic backstrap takes away from my sense of quality Though. I mean plastic really on a 1911 what the heck.

Very pleased with the ultra CDP 2, euro optic was prompt in shipping to my FFL. Pistol was as stated and new in the box. Can’t wait to spend some time with it at the range, looking for a good piece of leather currently so I can start using as EDC.

My first Kimber, awesome pistol, love the CDP features. So far, the pistol is not ammo finicky, ran three different brands of brass case FMJ, one brand of steel case FMJ, and one brand of self defense ammo (Hornady Critical Defense). Zero failures to feed, fire, or eject across 78 rounds. Not a huge data set, but very promising initial results. Accuracy is very good out to between 7 and 25 yards. Cons (minor): The takedown is a little more difficult than a 1911 with a barrel bushing. As other reviewers have noted, the plastic backstrap is a negative, but in the grand scheme, not enough of a negative to change my overall positive review. The other Kimber Ultra Carry models I looked at (Two Tone and Stainless) also have the plastic backstrap. The plastic backstrap can be replaced with a metal Wilson Combat magwell/backstrap combination. Finally, as this was a closeout model, Eurooptic had a fantastic price, no CC fees, and very reasonable shipping costs. They also processed the order quickly; ordered on Monday and it was at my FFL the following Friday. Great job, Eurooptic. Will order from you again for sure.

It’s a great accurate pistol. It takes any mag and everything I tried. Even Tisas mags. The plastic back strap WTF. I ORDERED a steel one. I realize parts like that are generally cintered but at least they are metal. Overall very happy. I would consider another Kimber in the future. The delivery was fast to my ffl as well.
