This Leupold Mark 4 12-40x60mm tactical spotting scope features include Xtended twilight lens system, DiamondCoat 2, folded light path, smooth focusing, waterproof, fog proof, fold down rubber eyecups, tripod and digital camera compatible, and BAK 4 prisms.

Features

Hunt further than ever into the evening with Leupold's Xtended Twilight Lens System. This system uses index-matched glass with wavelength-specific lens coatings to maximize the transmission of low-light wavelengths, resulting in better low-light details, clarity and quality. With most systems, scope manufacturers measure low light transmission at 550nm - the green color that the human eye is most sensitive to. However, in twilight conditions green can fade away and let blue/violet take over. Xtended Twilight is optimized to transmit blue and violet, giving the user best possible transmission of twilight images.
DiamondCoat 2 ion-assist lens coatings provide the greatest level of abrasion resistance, exceeding military standards for hardness and durability.

After looking at these spotting scopes for the past few years, I finally purchased one a few weeks ago. The TMR reticle is a bit different than the images pictured. The heavy crosshair lines are not present. Rather, mine has just the TMR lines. Personally, I prefer this as it is much less clutter. The scope comes with a protective cover that zips over the scope, but it did not have lens caps. A quick shout out to Josh at EuroOptic - he responded to my questions very quickly, and EuroOptic shipped the scope out quickly too.

I used a Mark 4 spotting scope in a 3 day long range class. Not only did it perform well, it is more compact than the one I had in my bag. The TMR reticle is very useful for a spotter to make wind call adjustments to the shooter. As soon as I returned home, I ordered one from Eurooptic.

Great spotter at a great price. Clear optics. I tested it at 800 yards and could clearly see details on a bird. EuroOptic was very helpful in making sure I had all the information I needed to make an informed purchase.
