Description

Uberti’s Winchester Model 1873 is an authentic reproduction of “The Rifle That Won The West”. Originally manufactured from 1873 to 1923, the Winchester Model 1873 was designed to be an improvement over its previous model the Winchester 1866, and just like its predecessor, quickly gained a reputation for accuracy and reliability. The Model 1873 was immediately popular upon its release largely due to the fact that it was chambered in popular handgun cartridges of the time. This allowed its users to carry just one type of ammunition for both rifle and pistol. While not as powerful as full-sized rifle rounds, the use of pistol cartridges was more than sufficient for taking down most game found in the American West – save for the biggest and most dangerous. The Model 1873’s claim to fame was also its sturdy steel frame and great durability, as well as its short length which was handy for carrying on foot or while on horseback.

In celebration of it’s 150th Anniversary, Uberti has released a special edition of the Model 1873. The side of its receiver features a beautiful engraving of scroll work and game scenes, all of which was meticulously copied from an original Winchester Model 1873 from a private collection. The engraving is performed by the prestigious studio Giovanelli of Italy, well known for their work on premium rifles and shotguns. Adding to its immaculate appearance, the 150th Anniversary Model 1873 features color-case hardened parts, and an A-Grade Satin Walnut stock and fore-end. Unlike the majority of ornate rifles that spend their lives in gun safes or mounted above fireplaces, the 150th Anniversary Model 1873 is designed to be used in the field and at the range, offering both aesthetics and utility.

Features of the Uberti 150th Anniversary Model 1873:

  • Engraved receiver
  • A-grade walnut stock
  • Case-hardened parts
  • Available in .45 Colt and .357 Magnum
