Walther’s PPQ Q5 Match SF 9mm Patriot Edition is a fusion of America’s rich history with the performance and quality that Walther is known for. The Patriot’s slide is embellished with engravings synonymous with the United States, which are applied by the world-famous master engravers of Bottega Giovanelli in Italy. Flawless aesthetics aside, the Patriot is fully equipped with a wide array of upgrades intended to optimize performance and durability. The barrel, slide, frame, and magazine base-plate are given a special Tenifer nitride treatment for outstanding hardness and excellent corrosion resistance. These parts are then polished to perfection to provide a sleek, metallic finish. To ensure exceptional accuracy and steadfast function, the Patriot is equipped with Walther’s exclusive Dynamik Performance Trigger. This flat-faced, dynamic match trigger breaks clean at 5.5lbs, and offers minimal take-up, trigger stop, and trigger reset. The Patriot’s enhancements also extend to its grip, which has been specially designed to provide extraordinary in-the-palm ergonomics, and to make the weapon feel like an extension of the shooter’s hand. The grip is precision machined from a solid block of aircraft grade aluminum, and the magazine base plate is milled from a block of high-quality steel, which results in a homogenous, balanced structure. To deliver superior control over the handgun, the Patriot’s grip features 20 lines per inch checkering, with additional texturing on the front and rear straps. To top it all off, the Patriot is outfitted with a serrated target front sight and a fully adjustable rear match sight – both of which are fully integrated into the slide.
