Description

New for 2023, Pulsar delivers the first line of user-upgradable thermal optics with the Telos XP50 LRF. This handheld thermal monocular was designed with the ability to be upgraded and enhanced based on the user’s ever-changing needs and preferences. This allows the Telos to be fitted with options such as more powerful optics, a higher resolution sensor and display, more efficient electronics, and additional optical channels. The interface can also be customized by allowing the user to set the order of the items in the device menu, and the User Mode function saves the selected brightness and contrast settings in the devices memory for optimal image quality during the next use of the thermal image quality.

Like all of Pulsar’s thermal devices, the Telos XP50 LRF offers exceptional imaging quality and performance. This is thanks to a combination of a high-sensitivity thermal detector, a fast aperture F50/1.0 Germaniun lens, and the advanced Pulsar Image Boost Technology. The thermal detector features a sensitivity of NETD <18mK, allowing the Telos XP50 LRF to pick up on small variations in heat signatures even in environments where thermal contrast is low. The fast aperture F50/1.0 Germaniun lens gives users the best quality, most detailed & high-contrast, informative imagery every time, even during rain or fog, when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal. The thermal imaging abilities are further enhanced by Pulsar’s own Image Boost Technology, which uses a set of advanced algorithms to render complex scenes in a wide range of halftones with evenly emitting low-contrast objects, such as the sky, grass and water surfaces. Software detailing and sharpening of objects at different distances makes the thermal image highly informative. Furthermore, this Image Boost Technology can be used to manually increase the thermal imaging sensor’s sensitivity to improve the quality of animal detection when observation conditions worsen. The combination of the sensor, Image Boost Technology, and fast aperture F50/1.0 Germaniun lens allows the Telos XP50 LRF to pickup on man-sized heat signatures from up to 1800 yards away – even in complete darkness. These heat signatures are projected onto a 1024x768 AMOLED display, and are viewable in 8 distinct color palettes for even greater versatility. Other features of the Telos XP50 LRF include an ergonomic, nonslip rubber coated housing with exceptional wear resistance and perfectly withstands operation in a wide range of temperatures, including dusty and moist conditions, and it protects the device from falls. In addition, the Telos has a built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometre allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ± 1 metre for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
