Kimber continues its tradition of high performance 1911 handguns with the Stainless LW Gray Guard. Like all of Kimber’s 1911s, the Stainless LW Gray Guard is built with exacting standards for quality, reliability, and accuracy. This is evident in the tightest possible tolerances in the slide and barrel, both of which are precision machined from stainless steel. The 5 inch barrel is match-grade, and pairs perfectly with the match-grade SAO trigger which delivers a short, smooth pull with a distinct break – together, these features greatly enhance accuracy and shooter confidence. To reduce weight without compromising strength, the Stainless LW Gray Guard’s frame is constructed using high strength aluminum, and is given an attractive gray finish. The Stainless LW Gray Guard has also been optimized for ergonomics. Aggressively textured synthetic side grip panels promote greater control over the weapon, and recesses behind the trigger accommodate proper positioning of the shooter’s thumb and trigger finger. In addition to the accuracy and ergonomics, the Stainless LW Gray Guard offers flawless aesthetics. The gray frame and sleek black slide create an elegantly simple two-tone appearance, which is further enhanced by black controls including the trigger, thumb/grip safety, and magazine release.
