Bavarian Stock Design: Oil-finished walnut stock features a Schnabel-type forend and classic checkering pattern, providing both functionality and tradition.

Barrel: Manufactured with a passion for craftsmanship, each barrel is individually inspected to ensure quality. Twist rates are chosen to optimize accuracy and bullet performance.

Safety: The special two-way safety locks both the trigger and the bolt handle.

I purchased this gun and am very happy with it. I get lots of compliments from friends. They and myself are totally impressed with the trigger finger setting for long range shooting. The stock was not what I expected but am even more delighted after receiving the gun. I matched it with a Leopold fire dot scope and it is a beautiful looking gun. Dealing with Euro optic was very first class as well.

Well made rifle,only problem, I can't use it.Unable to find ammo anywhere including eurooptic. It's like buying a 3 legged chair. Not a lot of use.

I have several Sako's ,the product speaks for itself, however I cannot give a meaningful review as I can't find the ammo .Eurooptic does have any and nobody else does at a reasonable price. So as of now I'm just going to have to look at it. Which is nice.

I purchased my Sako 85 Bavarian several years ago now and it is still my absolute favorite hunting rifle. The trigger is super crisp and the action is very smooth. I have taken half a dozen deer with it and two wild boar. The craftmanship is second to none , the wood is beautiful and the accuracy is spot on. Great gun.
