I have 2 of these scopes. They are above any words that I can say. I hunt all of the USA and a couple international hunts, they perform flawlessly. Clear, bright, and just what a real hunter wants!!!!!!! I live and hunt mainly in the South. I don't have second thoughts on a Schmidt Classic !!!!!!

I bought one of these to put on a hunting rifle that I don’t plan on shooting anything more than 250 to 300 yards. In my opinion, this is an excellent hunting scope with extremely clear glass and exceptional light transmittance. I didn’t put it thru any type of “torture test”, but by the look and feel of it, I’m confident it would take some punishment. The fit and finish is appealing to the eye - one look at it and you can see the great build quality. Elevation and windage adjustments work well and the eye piece focus is smooth. The illuminated dot was extremely crisp at low light which allowed me put the crosshairs spot on the target with absolutely no guess work. There are a couple of minor things I think a buyer should be aware of before purchasing this optic. One is that the illuminated dot was difficult for me to see during the day until I adjusted it to about 7 and the zoom adjustment knob is quite stiff.

Schmidt Bender 3-12×50 is the best lowlight scope I own. Hunting in Wyoming and Utah atop my 30-06, I am able to scope out and see even at twighlight. I compare it to my Nightforce 4-16×42 ATACR F1 and Kahles K25I 5-25×56 scoping on the ranch and it comes out better. To me that says alot because I have always prided myself on guiding and finding my clients their prize game. I tell everyone who asks about these scopes along with my Swarovski NL Pure 10x42 binos they are the highest obtainable quality. Don't let the price fool you, if you are hunting 500 yards and in with any stalking or sitting in a stand this is one of the best scopes made. Tons of european hunters use this scope its just not marketed well in the US along with KAPS Scopes. Same exact glass as the PMII that I also have several of. Always ran Leupold until a client put me on these 15 years ago... Quality will be remembered long after the cost is forgotten, I own two of this scope.

I have just 1 of these Schmidts and 6 Steiner GS# seires. The Schmidt is my go to rifle. It is so bright and collects so much light, that it will get you in trouble at low light times. You cant go wrong with a Schmidt! I hunt all over the USA but mainly in the South .
