Excellent gun. I really like the forest stock and the gun shots super tight groups right out of the box. I paired this gun with a Leupold VX-3i CDS 4.5-14 scope and it's a winning combination. Very little kick to the gun. This is my first .260 and I really like it. Shooting Nosler 120g ballistic tips. Also first buy from Europtics and I couldn't be happier. Excellent customer service from the first phone call to fast shipping. Everything was super easy and went smooth. I'll for sure be using Europtics in the near future and buying more Tikka and Sako products.

Loaded the .260 with hornady 129 gr. Inter bond imr4350 at next to max load according to the Berger book. Factory c.o.a.l. Of 2.800”. My tightest group was .350” and the next tightest was .550” @ 100yds. I haven’t tweeked the bullet to get it close to the lands, but shooting .350”, I don’t think I will worry about that. The rifle is very pleasing to the eye and the trigger will not need any work. This will be my second rifle other than the savage fcp that I won’t be modifying anything. Good job tikka!

Rifle feels great and very well balanced. Very light for a wood stock which I like. Barrel length is perfect for my case as I will hunt both tree stand and open areas so it can't be too long or short. Bolt is as smooth as silk. Only think I don't like about it is I wish tikka would use long action mag and bolt stop in their short actions to allow for bullets to be seated out further. Mine has a long throats and the 2.800" overall cartridge length of the .260 put me still about .150" from the lands but the magazine won't hold anything longer than that in the short action magazine. Accuracy is great but still in testing phase now. The stock of the forest feels great and I'm glad I went with the forest over the hunter model just because of the stock. If you buy this gun you won't regret it.

I bought this around 2 weeks ago and it has quickly became my favorite rifle. So much so, I just ordered a second one. Shoots sub MOA groups with my hand loads. Quality rifle.

I am very impressed with the overall quality of this rifle. It does have a very thin barrel which I had planned to swap anyway. I can get a 3 shot group into an inch but once the barrel warms up the groups spread significantly. If you plan on shooting more than a few shots at a time then I would look for something with a more heat resistant barrel. If you are looking for a hunter it is nice and light, and if you use the tikka style rings the scope is super low which I love! Just so you know it comes with rings and they are 1 inch in diameter. I had seen that this rifle came with rings and assumed they would be 30mm since it is a european rifle. My assumption was wrong. I am excited to see where I take this project as it was bought as a project rifle from the beginning. I like the quality much better than my 700s, I just haven't gotten it to shoot like my 700s yet (they all have much heavier barrels). Finally the adjustable trigger is very nice for a stock trigger. I would compare it to a low end Timney.

After 25 rounds of federal supreme 140gr SGK, the MOA is 1.25" at 200yrds. Took a pronghorn on opening day. beautiful rifle in performance and appearance.
