The Tikka T3 Varmint is a consistently accurate rifle designed for benchrest shooting or fast paced varmint hunting. Built on the successful two locking lug T3 action, this rifle includes standard T3 features, such as a stainless steel bolt, single stage trigger pull adjustable from 2 to 4 lbs, and a two stage safety that locks both the trigger and bolt handle when engaged. A single column detachable clip magazine holds 5-6 cartridges, depending on caliber. An optional detachable magazine holds 3-4 rounds (not available on short mag calibers). Integral rails for scope mounts are present on the receiver, which is also tapped for standard (Weaver) scope bases.

The lightweight synthetic stock of the Tikka T3 Varmint is made of glass-fiber reinforced copolymer polypropylene and features the adjustable T3 butt plate system. Adjustments to the butt plate are possible by inserting or removing spacers.

Each Tikka T3 Varmint rifle includes a cold hammer forged free floating barrel. Short and medium calibers are available with M18x1 muzzle threads for brake or suppressor. Does not include open sights.
