Trijicon ACOG Review

Trijicon ACOG (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight) scopes were designed specifically for combat and sporting applications by Trijicon. ACOG scopes differ from standard magnified rifle scopes in that most ACOG scopes do not use batteries for illumination. Trijicon ACOG scopes are either lit by fiber optics collecting natural light, or by tritium, a naturally luminescent radioative particle. The result is a clearly illuminated reticle suitable for day and night operation.

Trijicon ACOG scopes are available in a range of fixed magnification from 1.5x to 6x, and there are a number of ballistic reticles available (depending on model) from .223 up to 50 caliber rifles. These ACOG scopes are currently in use by the US Army, Marine Corps, and countless law enforcement agencies, as well as over a dozen armed forces all around the world.

Trijicon ACOG 1.5x16: Extremely compact ACOG scope suited for close quarters engagements or timed competition. Designed for quick acquisition and superior control on M4/M16 weapons.
Trijicon ACOG 1.5x24: Long eye relief and large exit pupil.
Trijicon ACOG 2x20: A compact ACOG scope designed for use with small caliber submachine guns up to 200m.
Trijicon ACOG 3x30: Designed for law enforcement and military applications, these ACOG scopes are available with a number of ballistic reticles for .223, .308, and 7.62 calibers.
Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35: Day and night ACOG scopes with ranging capabilities out to 800m and ballistic reticles for .223, .308, and 7.62. An illuminated reticle is powered by fiber optics in daylight, and tritium by night.
Trijicon ACOG 4x32: Built specifically for the M4/M16 with several ballistic reticles and tritium illumination.
Trijicon ACOG 5.5x50: Tailored specifically to .223 and .308 rifles with ballistic reticles for ranging, and includes adapter for flat top AR.
Trijicon ACOG 6x48: Trijicon’s highest magnification ACOG scope, designed to withstand the recoil of calibers up to .50 BMG. Several ballistic reticles are available that allow target acquisition out to 1800 meters. A fiber optic reticle illuminates during daytime and in lower light situations, and all 6x48 ACOG scopes are waterproof to 500 feet.
Trijicon ACOG/RMR: The best of both worlds, these packages include a Trijicon ACOG for medium to long distance engagements as well as a Trijicon RMR red dot sight for immediate target acquisition and increased accuracy in close quarters.
