Description

With over one million produced, Trijicon’s Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight, better known as the ACOG has become iconic in the realm of combat optics — and for good reason, the ACOG has an unquestioned reputation for quality and reliability. The Trijicon ACOG is the official medium range weapon sight for both U.S. Special Operations Forces and the Marine Corps as well as being the optic of choice for law enforcement agencies across the country. What sets the ACOG apart from the pack is what it offers to its users, increased hit potential regardless of light conditions. This is due to the tritium/fiber optic illuminated reticle found in most Trijicon ACOG riflescopes, this automatically adjusts illumination of the reticle based on available light. With a wide array of magnification levels, reticle designs, and reticle colors available — there truly is an ACOG for every mission.

Trijicon ACOG riflescopes come in the following magnification levels:

1.5x16, 1.5x24, 2x20, 3x24, 3x30, 3.5x55, 4x32, 5.5x50, and 6x48.

Features:

Superior Quality Glass Lenses
Multi-coated lenses provide superior clarity and light transmitting capabilities with zero distortion.
Rugged Aluminum-Alloy Housing
Forged 7075-T6 aircraft aluminum-housing provides for a nearly indestructible sighting system.
Fixed Magnification
Less moving parts than a variable optic equals increased durability and reliability. Seven magnification levels are available.
Waterproof up to 100 Meters
Dry-nitrogen filled to eliminate fogging. Five times more waterproof than military standard requirements.
Both Eyes Open Design
The ACOG can be used as a CQB sight when shooting both eyes open utilizing the Bindon Aiming Concept.

I bought one 11 years ago. An ACOG TA 31F-G. After that length of time I noticed it was losing some of the glow in the dark supplied by a charge of Tritium. I thought I would take advantage of their full warranty to have it recharged, so I sent it back, ($50 via UPS.) Then I get notified that they checked it and it still had some glow left. I told them that since it was out there at their factory to go ahead and make it like new again, They did so, but charged me $188 for the service. So much for the full warranty. Now, since my eyes are older, I find the aiming point to be too hard to focus on. I suppose if I wear the right glasses, it would be okay, but I don't have a pair I can walk around with and then focus close on a scope optic to be practical. So I bought another AR and put a Vortex on it with a conventional cross hair and an adjustable eye piece that I can set up for a clear sight picture. BTW, when I bought this in 2010 the lowest price I could find was just over $1000, so if you want one of these, now might be the time. But, take into consideration what I wrote, and look through one, on a rifle, before deciding. Select one if weight and toughness are your top priority. A final note; I live 14 miles from Eurooptic showroom and it has an impressive line up to look at. Do stop by if you are anywhere near central Pennsylvania, but check their hours of operation before the trip.

This is the ULTIMATE aiming device for 200+ yards to point blank range. Works perfect in full daylight or moonless night. In 50 years of shooting I have never encountered a better scope! The joy of using this scope is only matched by the ease of ordering from EuroOptic. I've ordered 2 Schmidt Benders and a Sako 308 from them and nothing resembling an issue with product or service. There may be cheaper vendors, but remember you always get what you pay for...

Absolutely the best optic for AR rifles, I've got a number of other optics on various platforms but this one is the best.

First ACOG I've ever purchased and absolutely love it! Took a little bit to get used to it but it's great now.

With a lot of optics using the horseshoe reticle, trijicon gives you so many options other than just that. Not to mention extremely high quality glass and a very generous eye relief make this sight second to none. I would highly recommended this sight, easy to zero, extremely durable, and let’s face it, it’s just cool lol. While a little pricey, you get what you pay for …….

If you are putting together one series defense refile, this sight should be one of your top considerations. No need to rehash all the torture tests and reliability. This platform is one of the most reliable sights you can put on a rifle. Depending one your intended use, put a strip of blue painter's tape over the fiber optic or black Gorilla tape over part of it. This will dim the bright chevron in strong sunlight. It gets very bright. You can also mount a RMR on top for close quarters. The chevron makes a wonderful "red dot" for fast close range shooting. We had no trouble all shots with sustained fire on target in a 6" steel maiden head at 100 yards using the tip of the Chevron. Deliberate shooting and you can match whatever you are capable of grouping. Thanks to EuroOptic, the sale price made this affordable and worth the investment.
