Functions perfectly. Accurate. The finish is burnished and it won't rust! I polished out the brass with 1500 wet & dry paper then brass polish. I just like polished brass. You can't buy a quality pistol like this for the price. Mine is in .357 caliber and I practice with .38 specs. Easy on my old hands! Put the big boy's (.357) in for protection! You want reliability. accuracy, power and safety? You have it in this exact copy of the original Colt 1873! Only six shots? If you can't do it with six my friend, you can't do it with sixty! Also, Uberti has put an extra notch in the cylinder pin. This allows you to push the pin back to the safety position and will not allow the hammer to fire the gun. This is good when the pistol is set aside. It makes it impossible for a child to accidentally fire the weapon! The pin is exactly like the original colt, but has another notch! Colt pin fit right in, but doesn't have the safety notch. Great gun and great company!
