Great Red Dot....mounted on my B&T GHM9 in a Vortex American Defense QR riser mount. Lower 3rd co-witness and looks great. A real step up from the Venom or Viper but is larger and more rugged. Battery already installed ready to go.

So far I like it. It is the second VORTEX I have on a pistol. I have owned several VORTEX optics over the years and have always been impressed with them. The RAZOR is no exception.

The Razor model is an excellent red dot optic. Fit and finish is great, robust, quality construction, excellent field of view, parallax free, clear glass, crisp red dot, easy side compartment battery change out, easy to use and access brightness buttons on top. This optic can be used for multiple applications, such as hunting, home defense, and target shooting. Vortex has a phenomenal warranty and customer service. I can’t think of another company that has a better warranty. I recommend this optic to everyone I talk to about red dots.

No NV setting.... side battery compartment... is it waterproof ? water resistant? Who knows... i don't see it in the description. No idea what the battery life is either.... also doesn't mount to the same mount the Venom and Viper red dots mount to for hand gun usage...and i know because i ordered one and can't use it now. You would think... right ? lol. I had this canted on a rifle... but i recently put it on my Arsenal AK47 and while i like it there for standing engagements... ( it really does shine there ) ... i don't think it's robust enough to leave there as a primary optic. Even for home defense... while it works great... i don't know what the battery life is... and turning it on is a bit of a hassle. Also.. zeroing is a pain too since you need the right sized Allen Key... instead of the rim of a case... or screw driver... that's not convenient at all. The funny thing about this red dot is that it works great.. .i mean it is really good in the function department... it's just bad in the features department.. and some of those features are must haves IMHO... like NV settings... robust build quality... water proof and known battery life.. even the setting for zero with the right sized Allen key is a no go for me... especially if we're talking SHTF/end of days... functional ability.

first time experience with Vortex. I mounted it on my Faux SBR, a Galil Ace pistol with side-folding brace. Im not co-witnessing and it blocks the iron sights, however it is much easier to aim with and Im looking forward to trying it at the range.
