Zamac (pot metal) slide. High inertial friction between slide and Nylon lower frame induces FTF and FTE lockups about once per magazine. My pistol never shot in and accuracy with this 24 ounce pistol, 4 pound and trigger very small sights never yielded acceptable accuracy. Standard velocity ammo will not reliably operate slide. Overall accuracy is poor with 5 different brands of ammo.

I have one PPK/S (this one) plus one PPK/S 380. This one is made by Umarex, Germany which is the company that makes toys, though they own Walther company.
I use CCI .22 copper head ammo, and could hit targets at considerable accuracy, though not very consistent. Can bull eye at 25 meters. But I shot this pistol along with .45 ACP from STI, and of course the later yield much more consistency and accuracy.
The coating comes out easily, and was advised by my gunsmith to redcoat it with ceramic, which I will do in time after it looks a lot more uglier.
As said, I also own PPK/S 380 which is made by Walther USA. The slide and trigger are very heavy. Recoils are a lot more than even 45 ACP on larger pistol like Colt Gold Cup, STI, and Caspian that I also own. Because of recoils from this PPK/S 380, I can hard control group at 10, 15, 25 meters. So, by comparison, I much prefer .22Lr.
In all, it is a much cheaper pistol, easy to conceal carry, and sufficient for close range self protection.
