The glass is pretty clear. My model has a BDC that doesn't really match my load well, but with DOPE you can learn to use it. I made the mistake of trying to use this on an AR, which was wholly inappropriate. This is fine for a hunting rifle, but not for a fighting rifle. The AR now has a MK4 1.5-5x, which is much better. I also shot a friend's MK4 2.5-8x, which is an amazing scope. Though the 2.5-8x sacrifices both low-end and high-end magnification, I still very much prefer that scope. If I were doing it over again, I would buy the MK4, even for the hunting rifle. I would also consider the Nightforce 2.5-10x.
