Description

An excellent choice for your favorite brush rifle - the Victory Varipoint 1.1-4x24 T* from Zeiss sits low while it delivers a wide field-of-view. At 1.1x the ability to employ a ‘both-eyes-open’ method of sighting presents itself - this greatly improves situational awareness and the ability to execute that important follow-up shot. Dialing up to 4x magnifies distant targets enough for mid-to long-range shots on medium to large sized targets.

This particular Victory Varipoint riflescope is configured with a 30 mm tube, hunting turrets, an illuminated #60 reticle, and a matte black finish.

Optical Performance
  • FL Concept: fluoride ion glass to deliver brighter, sharper, and more saturated images
  • LotuTec coating: Sheds water, dirt, grease, grime. Lenses wipe clean without smearing
  • T* multicoating: reduces flare, improves contrast, increases light transmission
  • Advanced Optics System: Environmentally friendly lead and arsenic free glass yields exceptional resolution, contrast, color reproduction
Operational Details
  • Parallax correction: factory preset at 109 yards/100 m
  • Metric adjustments: 1 cm @ 100 m / 1/3 MOA W&E correction
  • Varipoint reticle system: the reticle is in the first focal plane, while the illuminated dot is in the second focal plane. This sophisticated configuration keeps the size of the dot constant while the reticle magnifies when increasing the magnification. The reticle’s brightness is controlled by a rotary knob located on the left side of the center tube.
  • Illuminated #60 Reticle: The illuminated #60 reticle features three thin posts with crosshairs with a single dot at the intersection of the cross hairs. This dot can be illuminated for precise shot placement in difficult lighting conditions. This configuration provides a clear line of sight while maintaining your ability to find your target quickly, under any lighting conditions.
Construction and Design
  • Low-profile hunting turrets
  • 30 mm main-tube: machined from a single piece of aluminum. Nitrogen filled/o-ring sealed for waterproof and fogproof performance

The clarity and color represented with the quality of this scope are superior, as I have come to expect from Zeiss premier series line of scopes. In addition to this scope, I have the Zeiss Victory FL* 10x42 binocular which are some of the best optics I have ever looked through. Another range member that happened to look through the scope today, commented it was noticbly better than his Zeiss Conquest series scope, and blows Leupold away for very fine details. I would say I a have to agree without reservation! The adjustments on the scope for the reticle work very well, and can be lifted to zero once proper POI is achieved. They are protected by screw on caps, which tighten enough to not fall of or losen with heavy recoil. The left control knob for the illuminates red dot is perfect in size and pushes in to turn off (pull out to turn on). Rotating it forward/backward changes the brightness level of dot illumination. I have owned a 10x Mildot Schmidt and Bender Police Marksman Scope *Leica, etc as well* which are around the same sort of quality one would expect in this price range, and really prefer these simple Zeiss reticle adjustments with no tiny torques screws to lose, like S&B. Presently the scope is secured to a Winchester Model 70 Stanless Rifle in 308 via a Badger Ordnance (P/N 306-06W) Winchester Short action 20 MOA cant single piece base, and Badger Ordnance USMC 30mm rings (P/N 306-24).
