Description

The MP5 is one of the most popular, iconic, and recognizable submachineguns in the world. However, its use is almost entirely restricted to military and law enforcement due to its short barrel and automatic/burst fire capabilities. The HK SP5 Semiautomatic Pistol is the closest thing you can get to a real MP5, without the hassle of going through paperwork.

Many features on the SP5 mimics the MP5 such as the Navy barrel with a threaded tri-lug adaptor, paddle magazine release, and a fluted chamber. Another quality taken directly from the MP5 is the charging handle, which can be locked into place at the recess notch, enabling the user to do the “MP slap.” At the heart of the SP5 is the legendary roller-delayed blowback operating system, the same system that made the G3 rifle such a popular choice. Due to the popularity of the MP5 and MP5 imitations, there are countless aftermarket accessories available for the SP5 such as handguards and rails.

What can I say. I always wanted the HK SP5 and now I do. Brandon was the best customer service person I ever dealt with. The gun was shipped out that day and was at my FFL in one day. To my surprise the rear sight was the correct MP5 style and not the pistol notch style. This saves me from having to replace it. Thank God for the Germans, because without them, this world wouldn't be as cool as it is!!! From guns, tools and cars, these super-humans can make amazing products. This gun is beyond the best of the best and I'd expect nothing less from HK!

Whats to say. It is the usual level of quality we have come to expect of H&K. Craftsmanship and materials say it all when you inspect your H&K product. The bore scope showed me that H&K make very nice barrels. It weigh out at exactly 6lb. with fully loaded 30rd mag, a H&K flash suppressor, and a three point classic H&K sling. Perfect for a old man to protect his castle.

First, a HUGE Shout out to EuroOptics in general and Keefer, specifically for making the purchase and shipment easy and super, super fast. The SP5 is fantastic, I went ahead and bite the bullet, a huge bullet, and purchased this piece of art of a gun. Wow, the feel that the SP5 has, in one's hands is indescribable, I wish I was able to have purchase this when I was younger. Although you have to use the sling to fire this, I'm thinking about slapping a collapsible stock and going SBR on it. It will make the experience that much better. There's really no "cons" on this pistol, feeds great, not heavy at all and at least in my hands feels very comfortable and of course very low recoil.
