Description

Offering the performance advantages that have defined Christensen's bolt action rifles, the Classic series are very light weight (6.8 - 7.1-lbs.), durable, and are guaranteed to be capable of sub-MOA accuracy. I purchased this rifle in July 2016 in preparation of a long awaited elk hunt. It was not only a joy to use on that hunt, but has since been to Namibia for plainsgame. It will shoot Hornady 200gr ELD-x, Barnes 180 TTSX, Barnes 165 TTSX, and Federal 180 Trophy copper sub 3/4 inch. The Barnes 180 TTSX is 1/4-3/8" and I have killed everything from Eland to Steinbok with this load. The integral scope mounts get credit for maintaining perfect zero since the rifle was sighted nearly 3 years and 50,000 miles ago including clattering down a New Mexico canyon when the sandstone broke loose underfoot. I used Warne rings to hold the Swarovski Z5 3.5-18x44. This package is easy to carry and shoot. The brake is very effective and makes shooting prone for an extended time very comfortable. Recoil is so mild my 10 year old daughter hunts with it instead of her 7mm-08 and has taken whitetails. I'm in the market for a .30-06 for her so I can get my rifle back before the 2019 western draw results.
