It features preloaded TopoActive mapping to display geographical points of interest such as terrain contours, topographic elevations, and summits, and has the option of downloading BirdsEye Satellite Imagery (subscription required) for a more photo realistic view of your route. Other navigational features include the optional display of public land boundaries on topographical maps helps you know that you’re venturing where you’re supposed to be. In addition, the Alpha 200 is equipped with navigational sensors including a barometric altimeter to monitor ascent and decent, as well as a integrated 3-axis digital compass to help you keep your bearings.
