KRG X-ray 700LA Black Chassis

Kinetic Research Group’s X-RAY has similar ergonomics to the KRG’s Whiskey-3 chassis with more adjustability to the length of pull. KRG kept all the same features that shooters want and kept the production cost down to make this great hybrid aluminum and polymer chassis.

Forend

• Polymer
• Mounting holes will take L2 Picatinny rails, Tripod Mount, etc.
• Access hole for action mounting screw (allows the action to be removed without the forend having to be removed)

Chassis

• Polymer
• V-bedding system that is CNC’d into aluminum
• Hardened stainless steel recoil lug
• Rem 700 chassis can accommodate larger aftermarket recoil lugs
• Will accept barrel contour up to 1.15” straight cylinder (Will have clearance for the standard 1.25” barrel shank for about 4” past the action face)

Trigger Guard/Mag catch

• Aluminum with similar shape to the TRG trigger guard
• Will accept stock Tikka T3 triggers or Barnard triggers
• Rem 700 chassis will accept the new x-mark triggers and most aftermarket triggers
• Mag catch is low profile to reduce snags but still provides excellent ergonomics and control (extender button is an optional item)

Magazines Used

• AICS 5 or 10 rounds mags (not included)
• If used with the Tikka T3, it can be used with or without front spacer plate
• If used with the Remington 700, the spacer plate must be used unless the rifle has a modified action

Cheekpiece/Handgrips

• 1” travel
• Quickly removed and re-installed using a clamp and thumbscrew design
• Simple feature allows the cheekpiece to return it to the exact height it had been set
• Can be moved forward and backward with one alternate position
• Made of polymer

Buttstock

• Polymer
• Heavy internal ribbing
• Thumbshelf for same-side-thumb-grip
• QD sling mount on each side
• Buttpad has vertical adjustability with a hex wrench (pattern is for a Remington 700 which allows for installation of aftermarket pre-fit pads)

Length of Pull

• Length of Pull can be adjusted with 3/8” spacers for a total of 2 ¼” adjustment
• Length of Pull varies slightly between versions from 12.7” to 15”
• Comes with 3 spacers for a max length of pull of 13.8”

Mounting Features

• External QD cup on each side of buttsock
• Harris bipod stud on forend
• Spigot mount and Ambi QD plate can be mounted for additional attachments
• Comes with MOE L2 and L3 rails

Materials/Finishes

• Most Aluminum parts are Type III hard anodized
• Most fasteners are stainless steel with black oxide coating
• Steel parts are salt bath nitrided or stainless steel
• Grip panels are injection molded reinforced polymer

The X-RAY Chassis is available for the following inlets:

• Tikka T3 (non-magnum length calibers)
• Remington 700 (short and long action)
