Bring your nighttime situational awareness to the next level with the Scout High Resolution Thermal Camera. This vehicle mounted thermal optic installs in a matter of seconds thanks to its array of powerful magnets, but also features four mounting holes for attaching the Scout to non-magnetic surfaces. The Scout is powered by your vehicle’s 12V outlet, and can sync up with any phone, tablet, or computer. Video is automatically captured, and is viewable via the NightRide Android app, or by entering the camera’s IP address into an IOS product’s browser. Once installed, the Scout greatly enhances the user’s situational awareness by providing a full 360° panning and tilt, controlled by an easy to use handled remote. Its powerful Uncooled Micro-bolometer sensor can function in complete darkness, and can detect sources of heat in the worst environmental conditions like rain, fog, and smoke. The Scout can display these heat sources in four different color palettes: white hot, black hot, green hot, and rainbow. White hot displays heat signatures as white silhouettes over a predominantly black background, while black hot displays heat signatures as black silhouettes over a predominantly white background. Green hot shows heat sources as green, with bright green representing warmer objects and darker green representing cooler objects. The rainbow palette uses multiple colors to show heat sources, similar to green hot, brighter colors mean warmer objects, and darker colors mean cooler objects. The Scout’s internal components are protected by a hermetically sealed polymer shell with an IP69 waterproof rating for optimal protection from moisture, dust, and other debris. Applications for the Scout include hunting, search and rescue, law enforcement, security, outdoor recreation, and animal/pedestrian detection.
