Fantastic chassis and everything I hoped it would be. There's not a lot of information out there about the RACS and what is out there seems to be a blurry mess of details for either the M40A6 or MSR. This is the R700 version. My Bergara actions were a drop-in fit. This chassis comes with #6-48 screws and what appears to be #8-40 screws for the top rail to fasten to the receiver - either should work. I've seen claims that the RACS uses #10-40 and that does not seem to be the case here. There are no instructions but installation is pretty straightforward - any Ikea master level 3 or above should get this going in 10 minutes or less. The only ambiguity is torque and I'm staying on the light side since everything feels like aluminum. All the chassis screws arrived with threadlocker already in place so no need to get too tight. The colors in the product photos are pretty accurate. This is not the bronze MSR chassis. All the components have been painted/cerakoted desert tan with the exception of the grip and rubber butt - those look to be molded with tan material. Numbers on the top rail are engraved and are clear through the paint. Marks that were lasered, like the folding stock lock, are no longer visible. Featurewise, I'm impressed. The chassis feels light in my arms yet locks up solidly to the action. The stock folds over the bolt so you can get it pretty compact without having a handle handing off one side... I prefer to have the stock folded away from my chest. You can't cycle it with the stock folded but you really shouldn't want to, either. The top rail is one piece with 20MOA of elevation which is perfect for SA cartridges. A pair of channels on either side of the rifle serve as places to tuck away gizmo wires. Fasteners are included with the chassis and clip the wires to the chassis. The price is steep but it's military hardware. It feels and looks the part being packed full of features without any gratuitous styling. The chassis is fastened to both the top and bottom of the action which is the icing on the cake for me - absolutely rock solid.

I ordered this chassis for my 6.5 Creedmoor about a month ago, and I cannot find a single thing to complain about. The machining and finish are top notch, the ergonomics are fantastic, and once it is installed, the entire platform is rock solid. Also, Euro optic was FANTASTIC with the shipping! I know it's lot of money, but it's worth it...stellar piece of equipment.

Purchased this to build my M40A6 clone and it is expensive but got to hand it to Remington this thing is awesome! Rock solid and the folding stock makes the rifle easy to patrol with like a carbine. Plus the number 1 rule is look cool and this definitely does that!!
