Description
Sauer has completely redefined the term “entry level rifle” with the Sauer 100 Classic Series. The Classic Series offers a wide array of calibers including varmint (.223 Rem), standard American (.30-06 Spring.), European (9.3x62), and magnum (.300 Winchester Magnum). The rifle is available in both beechwood and polymer stock options, giving you the choice of a traditional or more contemporary rifle. The Classic Series offers many of the same premium features that are found in Sauer’s premium rifles. The rifle’s stock features the same geometry found on the Sauer S 404 premium rifle, including a Schnabel forend. The checkering found on the Classic XT model gives the shooter great grip on the rifle even while wearing gloves. The Classic Series incorporates Sauer’s silky smooth action, something that has established Sauer as one of Germany’s finest rifle makers.
If you’re looking for a German rifle at an American rifle price, the Sauer 100 Classic and Classic XT will not disappoint; especially when backed by Sauer’s Warranty and Accuracy Guarantee.

Customer Reviews
I have had my new rifle for 3 months love it. Better than the 35 Whelen. The 232g onyx bullet works numbers on all the game I have tried it on. All one-shot kills. I shot a ferrel hog back end on and the bullet stopped just under the skin on its chest. Damaged everything, the pig fell on its face dead. Others I will try are the 250g , and the 270g bullets I may try solids to decrease meat damage or those monolithic bullets. I would wish that Sauer would offer upgrades to the 100. Things like a Walnut stock, checkering of different grades, fore end tip, and grip cap. But that would defeat the object of the entry level rifle.
This rifle has proven very accurate and has a very smooth bolt and great trigger. Topped with Leopold pic rail and a Vortex scope with BDC reticle, it was dead on at the 200 and 300 yard marks if 1.5” high at 100 yards. I have had one light primer strike but their service center is upgrading the firing pin and spring with no questions. The 9.3x62 caliber has been extremely effective on large game.
