Let me start by saying at first I was incredibly skeptical about paying this kind of price for something called a “hoody.” In my mind it was going to be a regular hoody like you would buy anywhere and would just be marked up because it had the Sitka name on it. Boy was I wrong. I finally broke down and decided to try one and this thing is absolutely incredible. It’s comfortable with a tshirt or lightweight base layer on in the 50s all the way down to the mid 20s with a little heavier layer. I also thought it might be a bit noisy like a puffy and while it’s not dead silent like fleece or anything, I just shot one of my best bucks to date 2 days ago on the ground at under 10 yards and he had no idea I was in the world! Can’t say enough good things about it or all the applications you can use it in!

Bought one in sub alpine and one in open country. These run tight. Bought extra large. Fit is great in body, long in sleeves. I am 5'8", 180 lbs, 60 years old with a pot belly. Shoulder was tight in large for archery. Live in Hayden Idaho. Usually archery kill elk and deer in early Sept. But worse case hunt rifle deer in Nov. Archery and blackpowder Dec. My hunting friend of 34 years uses this coat with the Sitka Stormfront over top in Kansas during Nov. Recommended. I look forward to using it. Super light to put in pack. Purchased a 3rd one for my wife, to use in boat, fishing. Wonderful jacket.

This jacket is extremely comfortable. It really cut down on your weight and for almost any early to mid season should be enough insulation to keep you comfortable. The price from eurooptic.com was the best I found and I know I got a great jacket. Sitka gear is an investment, but the quality will pay for itself and hunting is that much better when your comfortable. I'm 6' 0" 190lb and XL fits very nice, although I think LT or even XLT would pass because I have a longer torso. Sitka definitely keeps a bow hunter in mind when designing so you wont have loose floppy sleeves, it's more of an athletic fit. Goodluck

Fit was fine. Feels really nice and light weight but warm. Fabric seems a little noisy for a hunting garment but probably not a factor in most situations.

Bought this jacket for the top of my husbands Sitka layering and it’s great. The top of the sleeves are a little poofy, but the jacket is great.

The jacket did not fit. I wish I had an athletic build but I don’t. For some reason the high dollar clothes are tight in the arms and shoulder area. If you go to the next size up, you have room in the arms and shoulder area BUT around the waist is huge. I have to borrow a phrase from a previous review “ these jackets are made for fat people with skinny arms”. I am 5’10” 215 lbs with a 38” waist. If you like the jacket and stuck between sizes order one of each size and return the one that doesn’t fit.
