Description

The Taurus Defender 856 line of pistols are lightweight, easy to conceal, and offer exceptional reliability. This particular model is outfitted with a Hogue Rubber grip with finger grooves, texturing in key areas, and a large palm swell for a comfortable shooting experience and enhanced ergonomics. The frame, cylinder, and barrel are mode from high-strength stainless steel and all feature a Matte Black finish that both looks good and provides optimal protection from the elements. Other features of the Defender 856 include an easy to use trench sight, and a front night sight to promote greater accuracy in low-light environments. In addition, the Defender 856 features an exposed hammer spur with knurled texturing for comfortable shooting in single-action.

The Taurus’s 856 series of revolvers are lightweight, easy to conceal, and offer exceptional reliability. The 856 is available in a wide array of configurations. Many models feature grips made by Altamont, VZ, Viridian, and Hogue to improve the weapon’s performance and aesthetics. Other models have been optimized for concealed carry applications. These models include the 856 Ultra-Lite, which utilizes an aluminum frame to cut down on weight, and other concealed carry 856 variations feature rounded edges and a “bobbed” concealed carry hammer to reduce the risk of snagging when the weapon is drawn. The 856 is also available with multiple finish options, such as Tungsten Cerakote, Matte Black, and Matte Stainless Steel – all of which offer excellent protection from corrosion, scuffing, and the elements.
