Just got my first TenPoint crossbow. A Viper 430. Read the manual/literature that came with the bow. Mounted the scope at a comfortable eye relief. I applied TenPoint wax and lubricants according to the instructional video found at TenPoint's website. Set my crossbow target at a random distance (later measured to be 18 yards) and shot my first bolt. I hit the 1-inch dot I was aiming at. Need I say more? I'm using 64+ year old eyes and I was sitting on steps with my left elbow resting on my left knee; otherwise holding freehand. Thanks to the folks at TenPoint. This is one bad machine.

I purchased the Viper 430 for competition target shooting and I could not be more satisfied with the performance. The crossbow is light weight, easy to load and extremely accurate. The scope comes dialed in from the factory, but I purposefully changed the settings and recentered the scope at 50 yds. It only took 6 bolts and after 3 months of weekly shooting, I have not had to make any major adjustments from there. The cocking/decocking mechanism is well designed, fairly quick and very quiet. I especially appreciate the crank brake safety feature where I can stop at any position and the crank holds its position. In my opinion, this crossbow is an exceptional value for the money

Out of the box broken, Frayed strap. Just ordered while putting the scope on and checking the bow over to ensure there was no damage from shipping i noticed the strap was frayed. This is the second bow I had from Tenpoint. Love paying 1700 dollars for a product that is broken before I can even use it. I am so over Tenpoint lack of QAQC.

Still early to give a real good rating. But was disappointed with bolts that came with the crossbow. The inserts came out after just a few shots. The bow shop we bought it from reglued them for us and 10 point sent us some new bolts. We have not had a chance to try the new bolts.

New to Tenpoint crossbows. Been wanting one for awhile, finally picked one up. Decided on the Viper 430. Very glad I did definitely worth it. Very fast and accurate. Looking forward to hunting with it.

sighted my viper 430 in today, the trigger is light i love it, shooting the pro elite' arrows it came with average weight with 100 grain tip is 408 gns., first 5 shots averaged 430 fps. after 10 to 12 shots it averaged 428 fps., uping the arrow weight to 430 gns. 417 fps. average. 454 grain arrow i got 408 fps. on average, this crossbow is very accurate as for the sound it's pretty quite for a crossbow, upgraded from a excalibur grizzly shooting 290 fps., love my new viper 430 so far time will tell, but i'll right another review when i get more shooting time in. i recamend this crossbow, customer service is exellent to. the only negative for me so far is wheni get about half way up it feels like more than 5lbs to cock it fully the closer ya get the harder it is, but may it's because the cocking handle does'nt extend like the viper 400s, i also with wish ya could be able to release the reciever from the string like the viper 430

I purchased the Ten Point Viper 430 from Wilcox Bait and Tackle in Newport News,Va. I have to say it was love at first shot . What can I say about the Quality and Accuracy of this Crossbow right out of the Box. I would recommend the Viper 430 to anyone looking for a great Crossbow. Can’t wait for the 2023 Season.

I have had only experiences with Ten Point Crossbows. It started with my Father-In-Law having open heart surgery some 18 years ago. He could no longer use a Compound Bow so I extensively researched various crossbows and found Ten Point was top of the line. The cocking system on his Ten Point Titan was exactly what the doctor ordered. Fast forward about ten years and I decided to get my own crossbow. I only looked at Ten Point because I knew the quality was outstanding. I bought a Ten Point Crossbow for my own use. It was fast and accurate. In 2020 I decided to buy a new reverse limb crossbow for better shooting balance in my hands. I chose a Ten Point Vapor RS 470 and it is an amazing crossbow. I was using my Ten Point during this recently completed Whitetail Deer season when I shot my first ever deer with a Cross Bow and it was with my Ten Point Vapor. It wasn't a trophy by any scoring standards but for my first Cross Bow kill it was a trophy to me!

I received my viper 430. It is a great looking crossbow. I havent shot it yet , have to wait until the weather warms up. I ordered extra bolts, wax ,lube, sling and case. The shipping was extremely fast and the products look great. I am sure this viper 430 will perform extremely well and will live up to tenpoint's reputation!

Tenpoint crossbows have been my favorite since I first bought one years ago. The accuracy is almost perfect. It’s easy to load and the scope is high quality as well. It’s quiet which is a must for me. Not too heavy to carry to the stand. My 13 year old can even carry it perfectly fine.

Ive been reviewing this crossbow and the flatline 460.... Looking to upgrade from my Horton Hunter Supreme... I dont know how to give a review on a product that is a dream to own. I mainly bow hunt or i shoot a crossbow and disabled. But i spend more time in the woods in archery season,

Has power, light, and easy to get in and out of the brush. Accuracy is not the best and the accuslide is rough, had it repaired once within the first 5 days of having it. Other Tenpoints I have seen have shot more smoothly and this one could be a lemon. The quality of the bow was not impressive either as the front grips are gapped and can’t get the sling to attach due to this. I would recommend the bow because I feel this is just a lemon.

Crossbow is light and accurate. Easy to sight in. Easy to teach my son on. Very sturdy, dropped it from a stand without any damage and had minimal impact on scope accuracy.

It is the best built, fantastic to shoot crossbow. My friends hate me because of all the deer I have shot with this bow. I shot two deer after fast reloading twice now. A 70 yard shot no problem. I would go 100 yards without worrying about it. Plus very light weight for this old man of 72. (PS, I refuse to get old)

I got the Tenpoint Viper and love how accurate it is and took my first buck ever with it this year in PA from 50 yds and made an absolute perfect shot, I never thought twice about the shot and had extreme confidence from that long distance it would hit where I was aiming. My buck only ran 40 yards and piled up. Love this crossbow.

This crossbow is a pleasure to hunt with. It's light and compact which makes a huge difference when you're saddle hunting. The ease and quietness of cocking and uncocking with out having to carry a block or decocking bolt is another great advantage. The accu slide is easy to use, my 10 year old has no problem using it. The fact that you can stop while doing both without fear of spooking game or busting your knuckles is also great. It's also a tack driver and consistent using the center punch bolts. The safety is perfectly located and easy to find. Love the over all appearance of it as well, I always get comments on it. Carries great with a sling or strapped into my backpack. My only gripe is that I didn't buy it sooner.

This is my 3rd and my best crossbow! I’ve owned a Horton legend 2, a ten point Titan and now a ten point viper. I’m a disabled person with limited use of my right arm and love hunting! I now have to shoot lefty and have built a hunting chair to support the crosstalk talk about accuracy wow! Can’t wait for deer season.

I love my Viper 430. It’s light weight, and shoots as accurately as any bow I’ve ever owned. It’s easy to use and my 8 year old son is able to use it on a tripod. The ease of use when loading is unprecedented.

This bow is simply amazing. Accurate, fast, compact, what more could you want. Will literally stack arrows at any range. My only gripe is with the scope, the dots are hard to see, and basically have to use the illumination any time you shoot it and the first 3 dots are so close together, they almost blend together. That said, still a 5 star rating in my book.

I felt This model just has a perfect fit, balance and feel from the first moment you pick it up. It's overall balance and compact design makes it a great fit for hunting in a tree stand or in a ground blind. It's easy to hang from a bow hanger or hook while in a tree stand as well which is something that's key to have when picking it up off a bow hanger silently to get a shot. Hands down the most accurate and well built crossbow I've ever shot. Fast, accurate, easy to cock and decock and very safe. Shot a deer with it my first time out. Took maybe 3 or 4 shots to get the scope completely dialed in out of the box. Super impressed by this new bow. Compact and so solid. Really can't think of one minor complaint. It was very well thought out by the engineers who built it.

No pun intended on the title! This crossbow has all the things I've looked for in a crossbow at a solid price point compared to others I have looked into! I upgraded from the Viper S400 and am really impressed with the upgrades, especially the new scope. LOVE the new rangemaster 100, makes it easy to adjust when aiming in the field. The safety aspects of this bow made a huge impact on my decision as well! The AcuSlide Cocking and Decocking system is the BEST on the market and makes me feel comfortable not only when I am shooting but when I am teaching new shooters how to use a crossbow. The trigger takes a few shots to get used to but after practicing with it my accuracy was spot on. All around I would highly recommend this bow. It would make a great family bow.. easy for adults and children to use (adult supervision advised). PLUS I love supporting Made in America companies.
