The Tricer JC provides some of the finest micro adjustments on the market as well as extreme stability in every condition including high winds. The panning and center column elevation adjustments are controlled by knobs. To pan, simply loosen the locking knob and use the adjustment knob to pan, every full rotation of the panning knob is 5° of adjustment. Similarly, elevation adjustments are made by loosening the locking knob and using the adjustment knob to raise or lower the center column. For finer adjustments to elevation, the center column can be adjusted for drag. For greater stability (especially in high winds), the Tricer JC comes with leg weight inserts and a center column weight insert. Each leg weight insert weighs roughly 1-pound and the center column weight insert weights around 10 ounces. The weights are inserted through the bottom of the tripod's feet (or the bottom of the center column), and can even be used as "spike" feet. Adding all of the weights gives the Tricer JC an overall weight of roughly 7lbs, as opposed to around 3lbs without any weights. Like all Tricer Tripods, the JC's legs are made from 8x carbon fiber and comes with an interchangeable head featuring both a 3/8-16" thread and 1/4"-20 thread.
