This thing is pretty darn cool. I've owned red dots since the original aimpoints and tasco pro-points. I currently own 2 Eotechs but after purchasing this optic I think I will be selling my Eotechs. These things are G2G at all times. No pushing a button and waiting for the "hologram" to come up to acceptable brightness. Could be real detrimental to your health under certain conditions. The description on this website says "adjustable brightness controls." There are not any that I am aware of on this ACOG. The ACCUPOINTS have a rotating window on the eyepiece for adjusting the brightness but no the (this) ACOG scope. I had an ACCUPOINT with the red chevron and I could not get used to it after having red dots for 20+ years. This particular reticle is a red dot and I can relate to it. It does get a little big at 100yds but that is the only con I can think of other than the red light pipe thing looks weird and looks like it could break but if it's good enuff for the US military it's good enuff for me. The ACOG has exceeded my expectations. Cheers!
