To use a riflescope with your firearm, you’ll need a mounting base and mounting rings in addition to the scope itself. Bases attach to your firearm and rings attach to your scope. Proper spacing of the rings, as well as the ring height should be considered to ensure a proper line of sight can be established. This will maximize the value of your investment, and enhance your shooting experience. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith’s skills will be needed for proper installation.

I really like this scope as an all-around AR scope. I put it on a .300 BLK suppressed SBR I use mostly to hunt hogs but also want the option of using it on a 5.56 or 7.62 so I am very happy that it comes in either a MIL or MOA reticle rather than BDC. I chose red mil. The red is definitely daylight bright (tested in Texas glare in August at noon).

Was looking to replace an old TA31ACOG. Started off looking at an Elcan 1x/4x then down the rabbit hole of scopes. Handled and looked at quite a few, but ended up coming to this VCOG for a balance of features and ruggedness. I'm generally good with mil-math so it having a mil reticle works for me. I wouldn't call it 'quite' daylight bright, but its pretty close; better than I thought it was going to be in use as an 'RDS-like' option at 1X. At 6X the center 'cross' it a bit large for precision, but that is not the purpose I picked it up for. It serves well enough in getting on target out to 500+ yards. If there is one downside is it is a portly beast. But about the same weight as an Aimpoint ML3 and 3x Magnifier if you've used that combo before. Definitely quite a bit heavier than an ACOG. Still lighter than the 1-8 by a bit.

Awesome glass, great eye box and tough. This is probably the best AR optic I own and I have owned several (Leupold, NF, etc.). Do not be concerned about the weight, keep in mind other optics will require a mount, so weight is on par overall. LVPOs are going to add weight, but this is so well balanced it feels like it belongs. I picked this optic (1-6) because I think it balances the weight to performance ratio perfectly. I would buy this again before a 1-8 or 1-10. For references mine is mounted on a Radian Mod 1.
