Vortex Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 EBR-2C MOA Scope PST-5255

This is a great scope. I have 6 of them. I have 1 338 Lapua/ 3 300 Win Mags and 2 .308. A 338 Lapua will test the metal of any scope. I shoot a lot of long range 1000 - 1760. Theses scopes hold perfect tracking and return to zero. This scope cost $1300.00 when they first came out. The price now is a steel. Just buy top quality rings. Vortex rings are excellent. I have others also. Just make sure you lap the rings and torque to spec.

I am an experienced long range target shooter and hunter. I have used top level Leupold and Nikon optics in the past, and have appreciated the quality of such optics from the days I purchased those scopes. However, the technology today makes this Vortex Viper PST significantly more appealing and capable of shooting at ranges over 400 yards (I commonly shoot 600 plus), than any of my other scopes. I love this scope and found it to be very easy to Zero and bring the scope in, after mounting. I took only 3 rounds to bring to Zero after bore sighting. Now, with Zero stop capability and adjustments as defined in the manual, I have a scope that quickly gets me on target and placing an accurate shot at long range. I am now planning to purchase another PST for my .243!

Had this exact scope in the gen 1 and loved it. This gen 2 is even better. Definitely the best bang for your buck if you need a quality scope to get out to distance. I would prefer to have the 7ebr reticle but couldn't justify the extra $300 for a different reticle. Once again Eurooptic.com had the best price around.

Although I haven't had a chance to live fire yet, the scope comes highly recommended for use on similar rifles - 50 BMG. The last scope I had on it was damaged during PCS from Hawaii. I also purchased the Vortex rings (30mm, low height), also recommended by the manufacturer. Installation was straight forward without any problems. I'll update once I'm able to put rounds down range.

I have owned one of these (with the EBR 7c reticle vs this ebr 2c) for roughly 6 months and just bought a second one. Ultimately I think I prefer the 7C reticle’s center dot vs the 2C’s open crosshair, but it makes little difference. Glass is Chrystal clear, tracking is fantastic, controls feel great. The throw is very stiff so I recommend a lever, but overall a damn good piece of glass.

This scope is a tank! Solid construction. Glass is clear evan at 25x and the turits have a nice crisp "click"! Mounted nicely on my LR308 build. I would recommend at least a 2 inch extended scope mount for this beast. The reticle isnt too busy and is easy to use.

Clear glass I can see the smallest of detail of my target at a hundred yards. There warranty is the best.also, I'm trying that out with a different scope. Try the upper end vortex models against some of the big boys. You won't be disappointed.

When you can go to the range and a fellow shooter with a $6000 rig uses your scope to spot for another shooter and then comments, Boy that is a lot better than mine, it makes you smile. Have been hunting and shooting with a Viper for three years or so now. Started with two for my boys but now have five with plans for more.

This is my 6th Vortex Viper PST so you could say I am bias. These are the best scopes for the money you will ever buy. Super clear glass, FFP, audible clicks, zero stop turret and comes with a bunch of stuff in the box. What more could you ask for at this price
