Description

Developed with the modern sporting rifle owner in mind, the Aimpoint Carbine Optic (ACO) is ready to mount and shoot directly out of the box. A 30mm aluminum alloy sight tube is paired with a rugged fixed height mount designed to provide absolute co-witness with AR-15 backup iron sights.

The ACO utilizes a two Minute of Angle (2 MOA) red dot to allow maximum target acquisition speed and accuracy at all distances. Aimpoint exclusive ACET technology allows for up to one year of constant-on use from a single DL1/3N battery. With a completely waterproof housing, the sight can be used in almost all environmental conditions.

I mounted this sight on an M4 carbine and it is perfect for that situation. I also have the H1 micro red dot and find them to be of equal quality. The battery life is less with the Cabine optic but I can live with that 2 yrs vs 5years of the H1. I know how to shoot receiver sights well, I'm a US distinguished rifleman but I can shoot this sight faster and more accurately. It is mounted at the perfect hight for a lower third co-witness which is my desired configuration.

This is a great option for a range or fun AR flat top rifle where you keep the dot turned off most of the time. For home defense or duty I would spend the extra for the PRO model.
