The LEAP mount is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and uses 4140H steel hardware for absolute rigidity that results in a near-seamless integration between your rifle and optic. One of the most notable features of the Scalarworks LEAP Aimpoint Magnifier Mount, is the ring design. Unlike most ring mounts that utilize a separating ring system, the LEAP Mount utilizes a high-strength precision hinge that ensures even pressure around the optic. The Scalarworks ring secures using twin oversized shoulder screws for enhanced rigidity and weight reduction.
The ultra-smooth flipping action and positive lock-up of the LEAP magnifier mount is owed to the opposing 4mm ball detents acting against nitrided chromoly steel plates. To retain balance in the weapons system and to help keep the shooter's peripherals clear when the magnifier is in the side position, the mount features a short throw distance.
