Originally designed in 1975, the CZ75 B is the flagship of CZ’s pistol line, with well over one million units produced. This steel framed, double-action/single-action handgun has seen service in the hands of military, police, and government agencies around the world, and is the second most copied handgun design next to the 1911. The CZ75 B has since gained a reputation for excellent ergonomics, accuracy, and reliability, and comes packed with the proven performance-enhancing features CZ is known for. The CZ75 B’s level of shooter comfort can be attributed to a curved frame designed for a perfect fit in the shooter’s hand, and a tang that extends over the web of hand provides protection from hammer or slide bite. This special design eliminates the “brick-in-the-hand” feeling that plagues semiautomatic pistols of a similar class, and makes the weapon feel like an extension of the shooter’s hand. One of the CZ75 B’s more notable features is its low recoil. This is due to extremely tight tolerances, and a uniquely designed internal rail lowers the pistol’s center of gravity to help reduce muzzle jump as well as improving reliability. Other features of the CZ75 B include its double-action/single-action trigger. When fired in double-action, the pull is ultra-smooth trigger pull and adds an additional level of safety when the weapon is carried un-cocked, while the single-action pull is considerably crisp with a short reset. In addition, the CZ75 B comes standard with a firing pin block safety, which prevent the firing pin from moving unless the trigger is pulled and will prevent the weapon from firing even if its dropped in its muzzle.
