Description

View game in complete darkness with the Axion 2 Thermal Imaging Monocular. This handheld thermal device can record video and capture photos at the touch of a button, and 16GB of internal memory can store hours of video and thousands of photos. The Axion 2’s Stream Vision 2 WiFi integration also allows photos and videos to be streamed directly to a iOS or Android device for sharing memories with family and friends. It comes standard with a European Lynred 384 x 288 resolution thermal sensor and a Germanium F35/1.0 lens with high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. This combination of a high performance lens and sensor allows the Axion 2 to detect a man-sized source of heat at ranges up to 1400 yards away with excellent clarity and detail. The Axion 2 projects these sources of heat onto a frost-resistant VGA-resolution AMOLED display, and also features 8 color palettes to choose from: white hot, black hot, red hot, rainbow, ultramarine, red monochrome, sepia, and violet. White hot, black hot, and red hot are perfect for detecting objects, while rainbow and ultramarine can be used for better recognition. Red monochrome, sepia, and violet on the other hand have been optimized for long observation. Other features of the Axion 2 include a field of view of over 10 degrees – perfect for scanning wide areas, and picture-in-picture mode activates an additional window that displays the central area of the observed scene at a 2x to 4x magnification.
