Keep in touch with your crew and pointed in the right direction with the Tread Powersport Navigator and Group Ride Radio by Garmin! This device allows you to stay in communication with up to 20 riders with the push-to-talk fist mic, but can also be synced up to your helmet or headset for hands-free communication via Bluetooth technology. The Tread features an ultra-bright 5.5” glove-friendly display, and comes preloaded with detailed topographical off-road maps of North and Central America, street maps of North America, U.S. Forest Service roads/trails, and Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) for off-road vehicles and motorcycles. The Tread’s wayfinding abilities also include maps detailing public land boundaries for national forests, Bureau of Land Management maps, wilderness area maps, private land boundaries, and even high-resolution BirdsEye satellite imagery. For adventures a little closer to civilization, the Tread also features turn-by-turn on-road navigation with driver alerts for sharp curves, red lights, speed cameras and more.
In addition to its impressive navigational and communication abilities, the Tread comes packed with other features specifically tailored to individuals with active outdoor lifestyles. For better guidance on rough road, the Tread is equipped with ABC sensors including an altimeter, barometer, a 3-axis digital compass, and integrated pitch and roll sensors. The Tread can also be paired with a compatible smartphone and used with the Tread app for access to live weather updates, storm warnings, and animated radar. Should you bring your four-legged friends with you, the Tread can also wirelessly pair with Garmin’s line of GPS dog collars (sold separately) to help track and retrieve your sporting dogs in the field.
