Benelli’s took the popular ETHOS shotgun, and upgraded it with an ultra-light synthetic stock and a sleek, weather resistant carbon-fiber finish to create the Performance Shop ETHOS SuperSport. One of the Performance Shop ETHOS SuperSport's most defining characteristics is the use of accessories made by Briley Manufacturing. The Optimized Briley Bolt Handle and Bolt Release promote excellent ergonomics, and accommodate operation even when wearing gloves. A 6-ounce Briley Weighted Forend Cap provides great forward balance, and the included Briley Spectrum Extended Choke Tubes deliver superior shot patterning.
Like many of the semiautomatic shotguns offered by Benelli, the Performance Shop ETHOS SuperSport utilizes the renowned Inertia Driven system. This extremely reliable action is composed of just 3 main parts – the bolt body, inertia spring, and rotating bolt head – and harnesses the inertia of recoil to cycle the next round. This simple, yet robust system eliminates the need to make adjustments, and is able to handle the lightest field loads to heavy magnum shells. The Inertia Driven System prevents residue from entering the action and ensures the gas, smoke, and burnt powder remain in the barrel. This makes the Inertia Driven System run significantly cleaner than gas systems.
This high-performance shotgun is also equipped with Benelli’s own ComfortTech recoil-reduction system. The ComfortTech system utilizes a series of shock-absorbing chevrons, which essentially turns the entire stock into one large recoil pad.
