Description

Optimize your AR15 with Geissele’s Reliability Enhancement Kit (REK). Developed over the course of several years, the REK utilizes a 5.56mm full-mass, full-auto rated bolt carrier group that features a properly torqued and staked, chrome-lined, nano-coated gas key as well as a Super 42 Braided Wire Buffer Spring. The cam pin is precision machined from H13 steel, the same material medical instrumentation is made from, and extended upper rails on the carrier greatly enhance stability and feeding dependability. Another notable feature of the REK is Geissele’s exclusive Stressproof Bolt which is made from a special type of steel known and Carpenter 158+. This material was created between Geissele’s engineers and the Carpenter Steel metallurgists in Reading P.A. to produce a steel that is cleaner with less impurities for greater strength and consistency. The bolt is also forged using the same process used to produce upper/lower receivers, giving the bolt 5 times the life of a standard mil-spec bolt by manipulating the grain structure of the metal.

The REK’s carrier, cam pin, and bolt are also given a special coating known as Nanoweapon. The Nanoweapon coating was in development for over 3 years, and offers outstanding resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and wear with a surface hardness equal to 82HRC. In addition to its protective properties, the Nanoweapon coating rejects carbon build up, makes cleaning easier, and allows the weapon to operate normally with less lubrication required.
