Description
The 1301 Tactical is a semiautomatic gas-operated tactical shotgun manufactured by Beretta, with home-defense and law enforcement applications in mind. The short, 18 ½” barrel gives it a compact size and makes it ideal for engaging targets while in confined spaces. In addition to its effectiveness in close-quarters, the 1301 Tactical was built to be extremely reliable and easy to use. It sports a large textured bolt release, an oversized charging handle, and a hefty safety button that can be switched from side to side. The amplified checkering around the grip and fore-end ensures the operator will have a consistent grip on the weapon, even when wearing gloves. Aside from its ease of use and close range capabilities, the 1301 Tactical is a highly customizable platform; the ghost-ring sight system has a replaceable front sight, the choke is interchangeable, and a receiver mounted MIL-STD Picatinny rail allows for the installation of optics.
Furthermore, the 1301 Tactical utilizes Beretta's “B-LINK” gas operating system. This innovative design makes the 1301 Tactical cycle shells 36% faster the majority of shotguns on the market thanks to a cross tube piston design, an elastic piston seal, and rotating bolt head. In addition to speed, the B-LINK system is extremely reliable due to the strong closing force of the action as well as re-engineered gas ports that reduce mechanical friction and fouling.
