Description
The Sig Sauer took the proven design of the P226, and upgraded it to create the P229 Nitron Compact. Since its introduction in 1989, the variations of P229 have been used by Law Enforcement Professionals, Militaries, and Government Agents including the U.S. Secret Service. The P229 Nitron itself has a shorter 3.9 inch barrel, and works equally well as both a service pistol and a concealed carry piece. It features a hefty stainless steel that helps mitigate recoil and perfectly balances the entire handgun. The slide has also been given a durable Nitron finish to stand up to the harshest environments. In addition, the P229 Nitron is equipped with a de-cocking lever to safely lower the hammer, and ergonomic E2 grips.
