Made of 416R Stainless Steel, it's precision machined with an aggressive knurled pattern and cut with a 1/2x28 UNEF thread. If that wasn't enough, Lantac chambered both ends of the thread protector for an easy start and each thread protector comes with a high temp Viton 'O' ring, for easy retention when mounting it on the barrel.
