Description

The fenix 6 Smartwatch by Garmin was specifically designed for individuals with extreme outdoor lifestyles, and comes preloaded with a wide array specially designed apps and features to give you an extra edge in the field. One of its more notable features is its multi-GNSS support capabilities, which provides access to GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo global navigation satellite systems for greater navigational accuracy than GPS alone. Other navigational features include Round-Trip Routing, which allows you to enter a distance you want to travel and get suggested routes which will bring you back to your starting point. This smartwatch also utilizes Trendline – a feature that incorporates billions of Garmin Connect data collected from other Garmin users to help you find and follow the best trails and routes. The Turn-By-Turn Navigation feature is included to help you stay on course with turn by turn directions which let you know ahead of time when the next turn is coming. The fenix 6 also features ABC sensors including an altimeter, barometer, and 3-axis digital compass, and Expedition Mode – an ultra-low powered GPS reference that extends battery life to weeks.

In addition to its advanced satellite tracking abilities, the fenix 6 is equipped with several sensors to monitor your body’s performance. This includes a wrist-based heart rate monitor which gauges activity intensity as well as heart rate variability to calculate your stress level and even tracks underwater without a heart rate strap. The respiration tracking app is included to keep track of your breathing throughout the day, during sleep and during breath-work activities, and a pulse OX sensor which uses light beams at your wrist to gauge how well your body is absorbing oxygen. Other body monitoring apps include the Body Battery which optimizes your body’s energy reserves by tracking heart rate variability, stress, sleep and other data to gauge when you’re ready to be active or when you may need to rest, and hydration tracking which monitors your estimated sweat loss after an activity and gives you reminders to stay hydrated.
