On two-stage triggers of a lesser quality, the hammer sear and trigger sear interact on both the first and second stages, and the disconnector controls the second stage, this in turn compromises performance. With the two stages interconnected, this ineffective design forces the user to choose between pull weight and crispness: a crisper break means a heavier pull, a lighter pull means a “mushier” trigger and reset.

The ICONIC Trigger solves all of the difficulties and significantly enhances performance with its innovative CleanSplit Fully Independent Two-Stage Design. The first and second stages of the ICONIC are completely independent and utilize entirely separate mechanical components, resulting in performance that other two-stage triggers simply can’t compete with. This groundbreaking trigger configuration delivers a lighter pull weight with zero mushiness and a crisp break – RISE Armament refers to this as Have-It-All Performance. The CleanSplit Fully Independent Two-Stage Design and Have-It-All Performance is made possible by a Smooth-Sliding Dual-Blade Trigger system which slides and nests together rather than colliding. The front trigger blade controls the first stage and pulls with approximately 1-pound of force. The front blade features a traditional, slightly curved shape and has smooth edges for maximum comfort and control. The front trigger blade slides into the rear trigger blade which controls the second stage and pulls with around 2 additional pounds of force.

Once the front trigger slides into the rear, the user can feel and even see that the trigger has reached the second stage with the ICONIC’s exclusive NoDoubt Second-Stage Wall. Being certain that you’re at the second stage of the trigger pull decreases the chance of pulling off target, lets you to pause and control your breathing, and allows you to back out of the shot if you choose not to fire. This feature also eliminates the need to fire hundreds of rounds to “learn” the dynamics of the trigger. The second stage’s break is exceptionally crisp and clean – comparable to that of an icicle – thanks to the use of solid sear surfaces on the second stage instead of a springy disconnector used by captive two-stage triggers.
