Description
The Sauer 303 combines elegance and function. Its highly reliable gas operated semiautomatic action allows for quick follow-up shots, akin to that of a double-rifle. Similar to the Sauer 404, the 303 uses a unique hand cocking system, where the cocking slide is mounted on the bolt shroud and operated by pressing it forward with the thumb. This system is virtually silent, and allows the rifle to be carried un-cocked until the last possible second, and also enables the rifle to be unloaded while remaining un-cocked.
The Sauer 303 is also incredibly accurate, this is owed in part to its German made, cold-hammer forged barrel. The receiver is manufactured using the latest CNC milling technology, in order to ensure a flawless relationship between the barrel and receiver. In addition, the accuracy of the S 303 is bolstered with the “Black Magic” trigger which has a remarkably light 950 gram trigger pull that greatly assists the user when taking long range shots. The Sauer Universal Mount (SUM) is another standard feature on the S 303, this system allows the shooter to remain focused on the target without having to lift his head in order to achieve the full potential of accuracy.
